Job Purpose
- To assist in financial reporting and support to ensure the smooth running of Finance Department in order to meet and exceed the expectations in line with our organization vision and mission.
- To provide financial commentary to analyze financial position and performance of the Company.
- To liaise with other departments, continue review and improve the existing working process flow, or implementation of new system.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
1. Approval of vendor invoices
- Review and approve vendor invoices processed by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
2. Arrangement of Bank Applications and Correspondence
- To arrange for Kenanga placement and withdrawal
- Coordinate with banks and other financial entities for necessary documentation and correspondence.
3. Financial Reporting Analysis, Group Reporting, and Compliance
- Advise the Financial Shared Services Center (FSSC) on manual and ad-hoc journal entries required for month-end closing.
- Prepare and compile monthly management reports, including aging reports, notes to accounts, and other financial summaries following month-end closing performed by FSSC.
- Assist the supervisor in preparing reports for Group reporting, annual audits, and income tax compliance.
4. Departmental Profit and Loss (P&L) Statements
- Prepare and distribute monthly departmental Profit and Loss statements to Heads of Departments (HODs) in a timely manner.
- Address and resolve any queries or issues raised by HODs regarding the P&L statements.
5. Others
- Assist in the execution of ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by management.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new financial procedures and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Possess Degree in Finance, Accounting, or any professional of finance equivalents
- Candidate with ICAEW/ACCA/CA/CPA/MIA or equivalents has additional advantage
- Minimum of 2-3 years of working experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JDE or equivalent
- Strong in accounting knowledge and understand financial system flows.
- Good presentation and writing skills
- Analytical minded, detailing, strategic thinker and highly organized.
- Work independently with minimum supervision
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to take new challenges and work in fast-paced environment
